I help pitchers throw harder by getting strong, flexible and powerful.
I was once a scrawny 155 pound kid in high school, struggling to hit 73 miles-per-hour. My training and education led me to completing a degree in exercise science and pitching 4 years in the ACC. Along the way, I gained 65lbs, added more than 20 mph to my fastball and was selected in the 15th round of the 2014 MLB Draft.
But TreadAthletics isn't about me. It's about how myself, and our team can help you.

Because TreadAthletics is not a rehabilitation program, we require that you are medically cleared to throw before participating.
If you have specific training requirements due to past injuries, alert of us these during the initial questionnaire and evaluation and we will take these into account with your program.
You will need access to a weight training facility with barbells, dumbbells and other free weights. This should include at least 400+ lbs of weight plates and dumbbells up to 90's in most cases.
You will need a place to throw or simulate long toss, throw bullpens, and a net or hard surface to throw Plyocare balls and weighted baseballs into.

Radar Gun Access
You will need access to a radar gun 1-2x weekly during the high output phase of your throwing program. You don't necessarily need to buy one, but it's almost impossible to accurately gauge progress without this. If you can't make this work, let us know.
We can build the rest of your training program around this, including any other specific requests you have.
While we recommend solely focusing on our training program, we recognize that this is not always realistic.
We can program around most scenarios thrown our way, but cannot guarantee our training will be a good fit until we see what you are being required to follow. Contact us and we will discuss your best options moving forward.
We have had athletes try to stretch 6 month commitments into over a year by starting, stopping, not responding to emails from us for several months and then expecting to jump right back in at their convenience. We are all for helping you, but this is not how commitment works and this is not how our programming works.
If you are going in-season, check with your coaches beforehand to see if you’ll be allowed to follow our program. If not, we do offer shorter time commitments at adjusted monthly rates. Pick a time frame you can fully commit to. We are under no obligation to pause your training if you go silent and stop responding to our emails and holding up your end of the training.
We are understanding of exceptional circumstances, but this is to reinforce the fact that once you commit, you have committed to doing the programming continuously. In the legitimate cases where we do allow an athlete to pause and later resume his training, the athlete will still be billed monthly within the agreed upon timeframe, and the programming will be picked back up on the agreed upon date.
When you commit to doing a 6-month or 12-month program, this is a firm commitment to follow through for that amount of time. Monthly payments are equivalent to buying a car and paying in “installments.” We cannot guarantee we will refund you for the purchase you made. In legitimate circumstances, we will pause or cancel the programming. In the case of cancellation, there will be an early cancellation penalty equal to an additional month of training under the package selected (i.e. if you bought 6 months, and 3 months in you decide to cancel for a legitimate reason, you will still be billed for month 4).
This is not to nickel and dime you; it is to discourage people from signing up on a whim and then cancelling one month in because they change their mind. We want committed athletes, not flaky ones, and are willing to take on less athletes to increase the commitment level of the ones we get.
We work with professional, college and high school athletes. Due to the nature of remote training, which requires highly motivated and engaged athletes, our cutoff is set at 14 years old.
We starts by collecting as much information as possible about you, ranging from simple things like your training experience, nutrition habits and injury history to more pitching-specific metrics like height, weight, body composition, wingspan and starting strength numbers.
You'll also get a full postural and movement screen, which helps us pinpoint where your biggest weak points and limiting factors lie.
We use this information to structure the entire training protocol. From training volume, frequency and intensity, to exercise selection and progressions, to daily calorie and macronutrient intakes, these differences have a huge impact on the final product.

As soon as you are ready to get going, we send you a registration link, followed by our intro assessment and questionnaires. You'll be assigned one of our trainers to help you through the process, and have the first month of your program in hand 1-2 days later.
